Who We Support
In 2023, we raised a total of £4,800 from crowdfunding, fundraising and sponsors. With that money, we were able to secure the Oval Bandstand and production, buy necessary insurance and security, marketing (e.g. banners, flags, decoration, children’s activity booklet), and pay performers and artists who contributed to making our inaugural debut! This then left us with £400 for Rise Up Clean Up, and £400 for RNLI Margate. Next year we intend to at least double this amount!
MARGATE LIFEBOAT STATION (RNLI)
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the RNLI is ready to save lives. Powered by courage, determination and the support of generous people like you. Their volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service that has saved over 142,700 lives since 1824. They influence, supervise and educate people too. Their Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast.

This town is oozing with talent, and with the funding we get for Mergate we can hire some of Margate's best!

RISE UP, CLEAN UP
Rise Up, Clean Up is a community-driven social initiative with a mission to clean up Margate's beaches and protect the local coastline, ocean, and native wildlife.
LOCAL ARTISTS
The Turner is not the only building with talented artists - behind most residential doors you'll discover many more! With the funding we receive, we can pay Margate's undiscovered talent to bring their visions to Mergate.
