Do I have to pay to attend Mergate?

There is no cost to be part of the Parade which is open to everyone.

If you want to attend the Event performances, tickets will be available closer to the date. Children under 12 get in free.

We will aim to make it as affordable as possible by providing discounts for those in financial distress or on Universal Credit.

What should I wear?

In short, whatever you are comfortable with. You don’t have to dress as a mermaid! We encourage all kinds of sea-inspired costumes: sea creatures, pirates, merfolk, or marine mythology. Go sparkly, glam or gothic. The possibilities are as vast as the seas!
